New study module “Urban Planning: Changing Cities and ICT” has started

This spring from 31.03. until 23.05.2014 the new study module “Urban Planning: Changing Cities and ICT” takes place in the Department of Geography of University of Tartu. The study module consists of 5 courses:
1)Information and Communication Technology and Urban Planning (Prof. Rein Ahas, University of Tartu, Prof. Matthew Zook, University of Kentucky, USA)
2) Socio-spatial Changes in Cities in Transition (Prof. Tiit Tammaru, Dr. Kadri Leetmaa, Dr. Anneli Kährik, University of Tartu)
3) Economic Geography of Urban Systems (Prof. Frank Witlox, Ghent University, Belgium)
4) Environmental Impact Assessment of Urban Regions (Age Poom, University of Tartu)
5) GIS, Maps and Spatial Analyses for Urban Planning (Dr. Anto Aasa, University of Tartu)
Students are international, coming from China, Italy, Germany, Finland, Hungary and Estonia.
